WMD Unveils AI-based M&A Platform 'Dealscope'

AI-based M&A advisory firm WMD successfully hosted its 2nd seminar titled 'The Future of AI-Based M&A and the Role of DEAL SCOPE' on March 13th at SKY 31 Convention on the 31st floor of Lotte World Tower.

This seminar was organized in response to the success of the 1st seminar held on December 4th of the previous year, focusing on M&A deal sourcing and matching strategies using AI technology. The seminar attracted a significant number of attendees from the M&A and investment sectors, including private equity (PE), venture capital (VC), and securities firms, who showed great interest.

DEAL SCOPE is an AI-based M&A matching platform developed by WMD, designed to recommend the best opportunities by analyzing the investment preferences and areas of interest of buyers. It is regarded in the M&A industry as a system that achieves both 'efficiency' and 'security,' which are often considered conflicting values.

In practice, the platform automates the entire M&A contract process, such as NDA, LOI, and MOU, electronically to enhance transaction efficiency. It also secures confidentiality by providing information only to trusted acquisition candidates through strict step-by-step information disclosure methods like business card verification. 

During the event, CEO. Jemin Lee (attorney and accountant) personally explained the structure and operation of DEAL SCOPE, and demonstrated its practical application. Additionally, a corporate valuation system utilizing WMD's platform, ATLAS, was introduced, demonstrating how AI technology can be practically applied in the M&A market.

CEO. Jemin Lee noted, "Despite the high growth potential of SMEs in M&A, the complexity and lack of information have made access difficult and lowered deal success rates. DEAL SCOPE is designed to facilitate actual transactions by analyzing buyer tendencies and simplifying processes, making the seminar a time for participants to realize its necessity and effectiveness."

Meanwhile, at the seminar, some of the SME sale opportunities held by WMD were privately shared, and dynamic networking sessions among industry participants were organized.
