AI-based M&A advisory firm WMD announced on the 4th that it participated as a speaker at the 'Unlisted Companies Investment Trends and Small to Medium Enterprises M&A Trends Briefing' held at the 16th floor HRD Center of Eugene Investment & Securities headquarters on Thursday, the 27th of last month.

WMD is a specialized M&A brokerage advisory firm for small and venture enterprises, established by practical experts such as lawyers and accountants. It supports resolving information asymmetry and enhancing transaction efficiency based on the AI-based matching system 'DEAL SCOPE' and the corporate value evaluation system 'ATLAS.'

This briefing was organized by the Eugene Investment & Securities Research Center, which possesses top-level capabilities in the IPO market analysis sector.

WMD initiated from the awareness that M&A market trend analysis is usually disclosed semi-annually or annually, focusing on large enterprises, and analyses on a monthly basis for small and medium enterprises are rarely released.

In this regard, they plan to provide practical analysis materials on unlisted company investment trends, introductions of companies recently contracted for IPO underwriting, and small to medium M&A trends through regular briefings on the fourth Thursday of odd-numbered months in collaboration with Eugene Investment & Securities.

Meanwhile, many financial investment industry personnel attended the site, receiving evaluations that integrated analyses and practical insights were shared, covering from unlisted investments to M&A.

WMD Deputy CEO Sangbin Kwak emphasized the expanding trend of the domestic M&A market centered on small and venture enterprises, predicting that active transactions will continue in 2025 due to demands for portfolio restructuring and securing new technologies. He also presented the industries to pay attention to in the future by reflecting macroeconomic variables such as interest rates and exchange rates, as well as industry trends.

Researcher Jongseon Park of Eugene Investment & Securities briefly shared the initial investment flows centered on TIPS operators and the status of investment concentration by industry, introducing recent investment trends in the unlisted market.

Deputy CEO Sangbin Kwak stated, "It is difficult to grasp the atmosphere of the small M&A field with only disclosed statistics," adding, "WMD will provide practical information to practitioners and investors by analyzing industry trends and changes in transaction structures based on data accumulated by AI."
