Aug 11, 2025 – Chosun Biz reported WMD was selected as “M&A Partner” by KIBO
The Korea Technology Finance Corporation (KIBO) will expand the number of private intermediary institutions supporting mergers and acquisitions (M&A) for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from 10 to 15. Newly added intermediaries include Momens Investment Advisory, DeepSearch, DLG Law Corporation, Forest Accounting Corporation, and WMD.
On the 11th, KIBO announced that it had selected additional “M&A Partners” to promote M&A activities among SMEs and venture companies. M&A Partners are private professional institutions that establish a co-brokerage cooperation system with KIBO and provide tailored intermediary services to SMEs and venture businesses through the public-private M&A platform.
KIBO conducted a comprehensive evaluation of applicants following its recruitment notice in June, assessing their M&A track record and capabilities as well as the appropriateness of their brokerage operations. Based on this evaluation, five institutions were newly selected. With this addition, the number of M&A Partners collaborating with KIBO has increased from 10 to 15.
Through its M&A platform, KIBO provides one-stop support across the entire M&A process—from identifying SME and venture company needs to advisory, brokerage, and financing. By expanding the number of M&A Partners, KIBO aims to strengthen its public-private co-brokerage network and help SMEs and venture firms pursue M&A more effectively.
Lee Sang-chang, Executive Director of KIBO, stated:
“With this expansion of M&A Partners, we hope that more SMEs and venture companies will be able to leverage the expertise and on-site know-how of private intermediaries. KIBO will continue to expand cooperation with private professional institutions and provide field-oriented support so that companies can achieve tangible M&A results.”
