[Finance Today] WMD, “Providing M&A Solutions for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises with AI Technology”

WMD (WMD) has established the ATLAS (Automated Transaction Valuation Analysis System) system utilizing a database of one million companies and AI technology, to address issues related to the efficiency of M&A transactions for small and medium venture enterprises. 

Through ATLAS, WMD identifies companies with M&A needs and automates part of the Teaser and IM production. Along with this, they aim to enhance the M&A process by setting up a corporate valuation system.

The success rate of domestic small and medium-sized M&As is overwhelmingly lower compared to large M&As. This is often because, even when an M&A advisory firm is selected due to the small deal size, appropriate consultation is not provided, resulting in neglect. Completing a deal involves basic effort, and from the advisor's perspective, the compensation is relatively low compared to the effort required, naturally leading to the neglect of small and medium-sized M&A deals.

WMD is a company founded by M&A professionals to solve difficulties within small and medium venture enterprise M&As.

The collaboration includes Jemin Lee, attorney and accountant from The All Law Firm, Sangbin Kwak, attorney, accountant, and appraiser from Kim & Chang, Sanghyun Lee, accountant who worked on IPOs at KB Securities, Sungsu Jang, attorney with startup founding experience from PWC Consulting, In-Gu Jeon, an economics expert leading the In-Gu Jeon Economic Research Institute with one million YouTube subscribers, lawyer Jeongtaek Lim from Sejong Law Firm, and Hyunwoo Jang, who appeared on various legal broadcasts after serving as an expert member of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.

WMD's CEO, Jemin Lee, stated, "Our primary goal is to dramatically increase the success rate of deals in the neglected small and medium-sized M&A market by establishing an AI system in the M&A field."
